How do I know I’m a good candidate for dental implants?
Most patients are good candidates for dental implants. We’ll do a 3D image scan just to be sure. Patients who had or have head or neck cancers, took or take IV Bisphosphonates such as IV Boniva, Reclast, or Zometa, or have uncontrolled diabetes are not good candidates for dental implants.
Will I ever be without teeth?
No. You will leave your procedure appointment with a full set of teeth. Patients who select TurningPoint All-on-4 Zirconia will receive a temporary prosthetic while their final prosthetic is being crafted.
Is it painful?
While pain is relative, we take every measure to make sure our patients are comfortable throughout their procedure. Just as with any surgery, there can be some discomfort. Anaesthesia and patient sedation are used to eliminate any discomfort at the time of the procedure. Your doctor will prescribe medications to ease any discomfort that may occur.
Are dental implants successful?
Over the last four decades millions of people have been treated with dental implants. Research confirms a nearly 95% success rate with single implants and an even higher rate with full-arch dental implants.
How long do dental implants last?
With proper care it is not unreasonable to expect your dental implants to last a lifetime.
